The Whole Journey: From Idea to Reality

The idea

It all started with my passion for photography. I'm sure some of you can relate to the struggle of coming up with the perfect caption to accompany your photos when you share them on social media.

As a photography lover, this was a problem that I faced often. I would see how other photographers captioned their photos, but it was challenging to come up with something that captured the essence of my own pictures, especially in English, which is my second language.

But then, something amazing happened. Generative AI started becoming more accessible and available, and I realized that I could create something that could help not only myself but others too. And thus, the idea for this website was born! 🤩

The tough journey

However, the process of building this website was way tougher than I anticipated. I've never built a website before, so with my minimal knowledge of web development, I had to learn everything from scratch, from the backend to the frontend.

Coding became a daily routine for me, and I was constantly brainstorming new ideas and thinking about ways to improve the user experience. Even when I was out walking, lying in bed, or taking a shower, my mind was always working on the website.

There were countless hours of learning, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and deploying (and next, shipping...)

At times, it was so tough that I wanted to give up and start over again when I was more capable. But something kept me going.

The inspiration

Drawing inspiration from the indie hacker community on Twitter and my friend who were shipping their own products, I found the drive to push forward with my own project.

It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. After almost two months of hard work and perseverance, I finally made it. The feeling of building something from scratch was indescribable. 🎉

My expectations

To be honest, since this is my first time building a website, I didn't have any expectations. I just wanted to see how far I could go and what I could learn from the process.

Looking ahead, I will continue seeking feedback and improving this website. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed building it.
